Program Overview

The Southern Alleghenies Planning & Development Commission has provided international export consulting since 1985, through its International Trade Program. SAP&DC also serves as the regional coordinator for the Southern Alleghenies Export Network, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s economic development program for international business. The Network operates 15 overseas offices around the world and 10 regional networks throughout the state.

Partnering with the U.S. Commercial Service, as well as banks, law firms, universities, and government service providers, the Commission acts as an export diagnostician. Businesses located in the region receive assistance to develop a strategy utilizing numerous affiliated experts for specific problem solving. The Network is the gateway for state sponsored overseas missions and events, global contacts and foreign direct investment inquiries in the region.
